Description: James Dodd worked in London and died later in 1857. He was known for making bows of the highest quality and precise balance. The octagonal stick branded J. DODD is made of dark red-brown pernambuco and is 69.3 cm long. The frog is ebony with silver mountings and inlaid pearl eyes. The button is ebony with two silver rings. The frog and button are neither original or made by Dodd. The bow is currently in good, used condition. This is a great opportunity to purchase a fine bow made by a master English maker for a fraction of the price. Certified by Isaac Salchow. Weight: 79 grams.
