Description: Born in Nancy France in 1891. Died in 1970. Apprenticed in Mirecourt. Collaborated with Jules Fetique from 1934 to 1946. Then in 1946 he worked with Georges Dupuy, Son-in-law to Eugene Sartory, for a period of time. The stick is octagonal and has a length of 69.05 cm. It is of an orange-brown pernambuco which has a few random figurations and is of very good quality. The model of the head is typical of Gillet’s work from this period. The frog is of ebony and silver and has a mother-of-pearl eye encircled by a silver ring in each side. The button is of silver on ebony and its collar has a slight second cut. This bow is currently in excellent condition. Certified by Paul Childs. Weight: 82.5 grams.
