Description: Lawrence S. Furse began his love for instrument making at the violin making school in Salt Lake City, Utah when it first opened. He later went on to work in Ontario, Canada under Otto Erdesz. Lawrence has been making fine stringed instruments for over 41 years and follows after the models of Guarneri del Gesu, Maggini, Gasparo da Salo, and Matteo Goffriller.
This particular cello is modeled after the Matteo Goffriller cello and was made for Robert Bien. It produces a powerful, warm tone across the strings. Back Length: 74.4 cm.
