Description: The younger brother of the famed Dominique Peccatte, Francois was born March 10, 1821. Moved to Paris in 1840 to work in the bow trade along with his brother and other famous bow makers at the time. Eventually died October 30, 1855 at the age of 34 from ill health.
The stick is round and has a length of 73 cm. It is of a dark red-brown pernambuco of excellent quality. The head is of a hatchet model. The frog is of ebony and nickel silver and has plain sides. The button is in three-piece form and its collar has a slight second cut. Frog and button copies in the proper style were made recently for this stick. At this time, the bow is in excellent condition. Weight: 69.2 grams. Certified by Paul Childs.
