Maker: A. Lamy I (1st Son)
Description: Son of Alfred Lamy, Hippolyte Camille Lamy was born August 13, 1875. Hippolyte worked with his father and in the early days it was difficult to tell their work apart. Gradually in 1905 to 1910 he began to create his own style. Like all Frenchmen, his life was interrupted by WWI. He took over his father’s workshop upon Alfred Joseph’s death and continued to work until an old age. He died January 14, 1942. This bow represents an excellent time period in Lamy’s work. Very graceful and reminiscent of his father’s work. 58.0 grams. Certified by Paul Childs.
