Description: Like many of the great French bow makers, Nicolas Eury was born in Mirecourt, France. He studied the art of bow making at a young age and began making concert quality bows from 1800 - 1830. His bows were known for their great flexibility, allowing the player to perform complex bowings.
This particular bow is in excellent condition. The frog and button are original, the silver ferrule has been replaced. A beautiful, octagonal stick made of red brown pernambuco mounted with silver and ebony. It produces a bright, powerful tone with an excellent staccato. Weight: 57.7g
