Description: Son of Gaetano Gadda, Mario Gadda was born in 1931 in Mantua, Italy. Pupil of his father, Mario Gadda was taught in the style of the great Italian makers. Known for his vibrant copies of Balestrieri and Scarampella, his instruments are now played worldwide. This particular violin was made in 1983 and remains in excellent condition unto this day. Beautifully selected wood and a tone that only a modern Italian instrument can produce. Back length: 35.7 cm
