Description:Son of violin maker, Thomas Pierrie, Thomas Perry was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1744.Though much speculation circulates around Perry’s training, it is known that Perry established his shop on No.6 Anglesea Street in 1778. Known by some as the “Irish Stradivarius”, Perry’s instruments were soon played across parts of Ireland and much of Western Europe. This particular violin has been excellently preserved and has the wonderful dark tone one expects from an Irish fiddle. Back length: 35.4cm
