Description: Fuchs came from a long line of violin makers from the Czech village of Schönbach, and he was one of the German luthiers who was forced out of Czechoslovakia and settled in the Franconian region after WWII. His instruments remain in international demand to this day, especially in the US. The master's extensive experience is evident in several different details of this very compelling instrument. He chose the finest tone woods: moderately-grained spruce for the top and deeply flamed maple for the back. The violin itself is in excellent condition. Beautiful soloistic tonal qualities, and a refined and gorgeous oil varnish. Back length: 35.6 cm.
