Description: Kile Hill found an early interest in the crafting of fine instruments and began playing the cello from an early age. In 2000, Kile attended the Violin Making School in Salt Lake City, Utah. After completing the course, he spent several years working for the Scoggins & Scoggins violin shop as well as assisting other makers. He then worked with Stephanie Voss at the Voss Violin Shop in Atlanta. Kile now works out of his home workshop in McMinnville, Oregon, solely crafting Violins, Violas and Cellos.
Cameron Robertson began studying violin making at the Violin Making School of America in 2003. In 2007, Cameron graduated under the tutelage of Peter Prier, Charles Woolf, and George Meiwes. Cameron then moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he began working at the Williams Gengakki Violin Shop. Cameron continued his studies by participated in the advanced training at the Oberlin Summer Restoration programs. He was head of the Beau Vinci Violins in Alpharetta, but later set up his own shop in Atlanta where he continues to craft fine instruments.
This particular violin is a collaboration of both Kile Hill, and Cameron Robertson. It produces a rich, powerful tone. Back length: 35.4cm.
