Description: Sole pupil and true follower of Stefano Scarampella, Gaetano Gadda began to learn the trade of violin making in 1919. Continuing to make even after his mentor’s passing in 1925, Gadda’s workmanship’s has been praised by some to exceed that of Scarampella’s. His continual pursuit for perfection and inclination towards detail has certainly placed Gaetano Gadda into the ranks of the Italian greats. This particular violin is currently in excellent condition and a fine example of Italian artistry. Certified by Carl Becker. Back length 35.8cm.
