Description: This is the latest copy made by Eric Benning of the ‘Paganini’ Guarneri ‘del Gesu’ 1742 (Il Cannone). The violin is a tribute to that maker and this violin in particular. The back, sides and scroll are made of Bosnian maple from the 1920’s and the top plate is fashioned from Northern Italian spruce also from the same period. The varnish has been tastefully antiqued to represent the original Guarneri violin. This violin is rich and powerful with a clear and penetrating sound. Back length: 35.3 cm.
