Description: This gorgeous 6-string bass gamba was the last gamba made by Hans & Nancy Benning in the year 1995. The gamba scroll was carved by renowned Mittenwald, Germany woodcarver, Ferdinand Edbauer. The pegs were custom made by Bubenreuth peg maker, Emil Lorenz. The arched back is formed from 2 piece, Bosnian maple with strong, deep flames. The top is fashioned from two-piece, Italian spruce with the rosette carved into the top plate and ff’s shaped like the “Sword of Allah”.
This is a stunning gamba with a gorgeous tone.
