Description: Son of Emile Auguste Ouchard, Bernard Ouchard began crafting bows at the young age of 13. He moved to Paris with his father in 1941 where he incorporated the Hill-style underside into his making. After serving his country in WWII, Bernard joined the Vidoudez firm in Geneva, Switzerland, on the recommendation of Lapierre. In 1971, he left the firm and became a professor of bow making at the Ecole de lutherie in Mirecourt.
This particular bow is an octagonal stick branded VIDOUDEZ GENEVE made of medium brown pernambuco and is 73 cm long. The frog is ebony with silver mountings and inlaid parisian eyes. The button is ebony with a full silver cap. Weight: 69.2 grams. Certified by Isaac Salchow.
