Description: (1884 – 1983). Trained by Leandro Bisiach in Sienna at the time of the first World War, Igino Sderci was one of the most prolific makers of the 20th century. He was an important collaborator for the Bisiach family and a significant maker in his own right. He moved from Sienna to Florence in 1926 and frequently collaborated with Carlo Bisiach, who was also based in Florence. Sderci produced over 700 instruments, most of them on Stradivari or Guarneri models.
This viola is in excellent condition and has a gorgeous one-piece, slab-cut back. The sound is powerful and rich. Back Length: 41.9 cm. (16 1/2”) String length: 37.8 cm. (14 7/8”)
