Description: Michel Eggimann was one of the first makers in Italy doing “antique” style varnish. After violin making in his native Switzerland, he graduated from the Cremona School of violin making and has been in Italy ever since. Now based in Rome, his instruments are inspired by the greats.
This viola has a gorgeous, slab-cut, one-piece maple back. This smaller viola is rich and warm with a clear, powerful tone. The viola plays very easily and is very even across the strings.
