Description: Goh is a Singaporean who studied bowmaking at the Bowmaking School of America in Salt Lake City, Utah, under the tutelage of Paul S. Prier. He graduated in 2008 and has been making bows full time since then. Goh is constantly seeking to improve his skills and besides spending time with master bow makers like Benoit Rolland, Jean Grunberger and Yannick Le Cane, he also participates in the Oberlin Bowmaking workshops and has led demonstrations for the Bowmaker’s forum during the Violin Society of America Conventions. He was awarded certificates of merit for his violin and viola bows in the 2016 VSA competition. He is currently based in Singapore but he comes regularly to the United States where he is working to head up the bow department at Benning Violins.
This particular bow was made by Paul on his last visit out here to Los Angles. This is a stunning bow by Paul using the finest Pernambuco and mounting the bow for this exceptional stick in gold and ebony. The bow is balanced perfectly and is quick, articulate and strong. Very much a French inspired feel.
