Description: This violin by Eric Benning was made after the renowned ‘Vieuxtemps’ Guarneri of 1741. Gorgeous two-piece back made of Bosnian maple from the 1930’s. The two-piece spruce top was fashioned from Northern Italian spruce, also from the 1930’s. The violin is fitted with a gorgeous set of boxwood fittings from Bois d Harmonie. Expertly antiqued to capture the essence of this magnificent violin.
This violin has a rich and powerful tone with a beautiful ability to draw colors and depth with an immediacy to the response.
