Cellist Alisha Bauer recently obtained her Master of Music degree in cello performance from UCLA. Ms. Bauer graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Her primary teacher's include Antonio Lysy, Paul Coletti, Richard Slavich, Alice McVeigh, and members of the Da Vinci Quartet. She has also participated in Master Classes given by Janos Starker, Carter Enyeart, Marcy Rosen, the Moscow String Quartet, the Pacifica String Quartet, the Takacs Quartet and the Tokyo Quartet. Additionally, Ms. Bauer is certified in the Suzuki Strings Education program and maintains a private studio as well as cello teaching positions at Wilshire Elementary School and Santa Monica Academy of Music. Ms. Bauer is an avid chamber musician and has performed in music festivals such as the Henry Mancini Institute, Beverly Hills Chamber Music Festival, and recently qualified for the Fischoff and Coleman National Chamber Music competitions with the Alcantara Piano Quartet. Since moving to Los Angeles for her graduate studies, Ms. Bauer has worked with numerous notable artists in both live performance and studio sessions, as well as performing on and off screen for the TV and Film industry.
